Travelling

Well, here it is the middle almost end of August. Where has this year gone??? So much has changed and so much is still the very same. I am working; have a job that doesn't make me crazy, I like the guys I work with and I don't hate going there. I am planning a vacation next year; still want to go to Greece and Italy and if there is time Spain... I am off to Toronto the end of September for 10 days, going to see some friends and tie up some loose ends. Loose ends are good to tie up and then.... on ward and upward. My plan is to see everyone that I possibly can while I am there and I have discovered that 10 days is not enough. I need at least three weeks, and yet for the cost of three weeks there I could be in Europe or Chile, or Costa Rica, or Australia, so I struggle with that and then I want to go to Ottawa to see family and then I want to go to Thunder Bay to see family and to Marathon to see my seestor and and and everywhere... Okay bla bla bla - it has been a pretty go...

Okay, so here is number two and I am sitting at my friends place in Vancouver; while everyone else sleeps, I write. I love visiting here with these guys and I love cooking for them when I visit; this time is supposed to be a "me" visit though and I am supposed to be a tourist and actually do something other than stand in the kitchen... - apparently not, we had a BBQ on Saturday and I got to be the "chef" I swear sometimes being a good cook is not a blessing, don't get me wrong I really enjoy cooking, just not when it is 30 degrees Celsius and for 15 people, oh well it all turned out fine and we had a good time. I did get to go to Steveston Marine to walk on the beach a bit yesterday and today I have been promised a trip to somewhere. My dear friend has had a rough year and he has been ill (rough couple of years). It is awful to be ill; I remember when my asthma was so bad and I suffered because of the medications I was taking and the fact that breathing was so ...

HI!!! Okay so I haven't been the best at updating and here it is August, so now you will get two updates on one day, howz that? Stampede - well this year it was a good one for me, fun and festivities with friends and coworkers. I usually go once every year and the past few years have been, ah well lets just say not fantastic, it has just been stampede; mostly because I went on my own. This year I started a new job in February and I work with a great bunch of guys and I have this friend that I met working on a contract somewhere else as well as a new friend at work; so the girlies had fun during Stampede. My guys, also treated me well and the company took a bunch of us to the rodeo - a really good/fun time this year for me and I am very pleased that I had these people to share it with this year.
