Sunday, ah Sunday

I LOVE Sunday's I really think there ought to be two Sunday's and no Monday's. Today I am having some people over for dinner (I love to have people over for dinner), we will eat and drink and visit and have fun.  Stay tuned, I may have a picture or two to post :o) Happy Sunday Folks

Sunday - I feel like Friday

Image
Well, I had a nice easy very short work week and now here I am Sunday night watching CSI that I taped from Thursday. Andrew (who was the best man at my wedding oh so long ago) and his six year old son Ian (the sweetest person I have met in a long time) came for a visit on Thursday evening and Friday we went to Banff.  It was such a blast to get to spend time with them both and to meet Ian.  The last time I saw Ian he was a wee baby and he has grown into quite a great kid.  We spent Friday heading to Lake Louise and Banff and had a great day in the mountains and visit in spite of the the rain. Back to work tomorrow...

The week begins

The week begins and thank goodness it is a short one; even shorter because I am taking Friday off woohoo!!! I am heading to Banff with two hansome guys - Andrew and his son Ian and we will have a blast. My Thanksgiving weekend was kind of sucky - my friend went home and I am sure her hubby was glad to have her home for the festive weekend and it was kind of lonesome and empty in my place. I had a quiet Sunday (ordered pizza); was invited to a dinner however I was supposed to go out with another friend so I declined the dinner invite, I guess I could have called and told them I changed my mind meh, it was nice to have some me time. Work is going, not the best place I have ever been; however it is only until December and then on to the next job/contract. Will check in on the weekend and provide another update. I have one question - why are boys so freakin' dumb??? Can anyone enlighten me?

Another Week Almost DONE

Here I am the second week of work almost over and whew, it has been tough to get back into the swing of things. For the past couple of weeks I have had my very dear friend staying with me and she has spoiled me making dinner for me. I can not tell you the last time I came home and had dinner ready for me; what a treat. Not only that everywhere we go and I mean EVERYWHERE we get the best parking spots. Work is meh, okay; miss the folks at the old place (it was fun to work there). The people here are okay too, I guess I really settled in at the Alliance; the fit was good for me. I am getting back into the "dating" scene and that is kind of fun (a bit stressful sometimes, fun none the less) and I like that I can go out on my terms. I guess I am healing after my last disaster. Well, not all that interesting I am afraid; just living la Vida Loca

It is almost over

Whew, the work week is almost over, you know while I was on vacation I was still up between 5:00am and 6:00am, I just wasn't required to get out of the house/hotel and go to work.  I got to do what I wanted and that was fun.  Don't get me wrong, I don't mind working, I would just prefer to do it when I want to not because I have to (wouldn't that be nice). Well, I have thrown myself back into the dating scene and I was out with a very nice man last night, intelligent, sexy, interesting and he felt pretty good when he hugged me too (long time since I had a nice hug).   I am fortunate enough to live in a great place and even though I complain about it, I am fortunate to have a good paying job which allows me to remain comfortable and to eat nice meals. My very dear friend from Toronto is visiting me and man that is awesome, she was quite ill this time last year so she has come a long way and choose to spend some of her precious time with me - you have no idea how wonderfu...
