So here I am back in France. We took a short trip to Switzerland -then off to Monte Carlo, stayed in the Fairmmont Monte Carlo-whoop whoop!!! Larkyn and I had a swim in the FREEEEEEEEZING cold air (pool was warm) 7 degrees outside. It was SUPER nice. Now we are about to tuck in at the Novotel in Lyon, France. In the morning we are off to Paris!! We will spend Christmas in Patis. Then off to England to invade my friend Liz and her family. Hope everyone is well. Look for my update when we are settled. I hope to have some photos to share!!

So we all travelled well, Larkyn busy with movies - ipad etc. and she made a friend on the plan (Adrian from Barcelona), he was wrapped around her little finger in no time... heheh good girl, Reegan well iphone and wifi - staying connected with her peeps that is what is important when you are a teenager !!! The girls were great on the flight, seasoned travellers they were no trouble at all. I am sitting in this lovely little spot looking out over the city streets of London. David was on the googles on the plane and - rented a car and this really great apatment in the heart of the city so we could just chill and figure out what the plan will be going forward. It is 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (he realizes it is wise with 3 women to have the space) hehe. All comfy,I am off to Tesco to get a few things while they are all napping - then ..., tomorrow we will see what we might do! Ciao for now

Sept. 11th After a heartstoping hour at the airport - was in the line up to check in .... and when I got to the counter WHAT NO PASSPORT!!!! Yup, I tried to check in online from work and left my passport on my desk FAWWWWWWK David saved my day - with his well honed courier driving skills from the NW of calgary to downtown where Neeti and STeve located the effin passport that I left at the office; Neeti handed it off to David and off to the airport he drives in RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC HOlY F%%%%#%@#!!!!! - I LOVE THIS MAN My WORST nightmare happened! After all of the travelling that I have done, I did it, forgot my passport - I can now cross that OFF of my NOT to do list. Now everything will be FANFREAKINTASTIC. Transfer in Frankfurt was awesome - glad I had two hours - because I had to walk 10 MILES - well maybe not quite 10 - this airport is awesome to manouver through. Arrived in Barcelona on time and now I am about to head out for a little tapas and vino - Hola!

Here I sit in a coffee shop, don't want to drive anywhere, don't want to talk to anyone, just want to enjoy my tea and pretend everything is alright, pretend that tomorrow I can call my friend and whine and complain about nothing like it is the biggest thing ever; she would listen and sypmathize and feel sorry for me because that is what friends do instead I will get up, pack my suitcase and head to be with her husband, hopefully to make things a bit easier for him (and me), to help him bury the love of his life (51 years of marriage - as of tommorrow May 13th). He is a wreck and feeling so alone right now, and I imagine he will feel that way for a while I still LOVE life and living and when someone is taken it just really makes me realize how little time I have and how much I want to do with the time I have, I want to live/love/enjoy and laugh a lot, along the way I want to touch people like I have been touched. So be good to the people that matter, you may not have the...

Sooooo here I sit at the airport again; usually I LOVE sitting at the airport because it means I am going somewhere to have a good time. I haven't written here in a very long time - and I haven't really done a lot of travelling lately; still ... This trip is sweet and so so sad; heading to Toronto to see my dear friend Georgina, she is losing her battle with cancer and my heart aches to lose yet another friend to this dreaded killer. We have had our trials and tribulations through the years and sometimes she has made me CRAZY and I LOVE her so much (I probably NEVER made her CRAZY though). She is more than my friend, she is family - you can never hand pick your blood relations, and blood doesn't mean family, my friends are and always will be my dearest family to me. It is with a heavy heart and a smirk on my face that I take this trip; I remember some of the amazing times we have spent laughing and crying together. I am so lucky that I am able to make this trip to...

Well, it has been some time since I have wanted to say anything or catch up on anything. Life is good, things are okay..., I hurt my knee a while back and I am 144th on a list to wait for a surgery to repair the damage :( I am now just playing the waiting game... - well at least I can walk even if I need a cane once in a while. I am heading out on the road again; this time to warmer placed woot woot - I am off to Tortola Bay a beautiful little Island in the Caribbean (British Virgin Islands). I have never been anywhere warm for Christmas woohoo AND I am planning a trip to Australia in September of 2012 boooyah! So I have been doing some renovations and getting my condo more "me" I am liking it more and more. I am so thankful for EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE that I have in my life. I am SO SO lucky and some days I just can't stop smiling! Okay stay tuned, I think I'll be spending more time here over the next while. Ciao for now!

Here I sit in the Tampa airport, heading home after a week of warm weather and sunshine. I had a great visit with my auntie Kathy and uncle Joe and my other auntie Della :o) I had lazy times got some much needed rest, and I even had a couple of touristy days at The Space Centre and Epcot Centre. I'm not super pumped to go home, although it will be nice to get back to my own bed. Thanks for the GREAT TRIP and the GREAT WEATHER!! That's all I have right now. Ciao

Okay where has the time gone? I am another year older and ah well WAAAAAY DEEEEPER IN DEBT - I bought a CONDO and moved six months ago; okay so the bank really owns it and I pay them to allow me to live here. I had an OUTSTANDING Christmas, probably the best in 10 years!!! I had some company here to visit, I squeezed babies, I got to bake and cook all kinds of food AND I had a HAWT Dominicano man to help me with the festivities. THEN to start off the New Year I had an old friend visit (someone I haven't spent time with in about 20 years) WHAT A BLAST!!! - It is so fun to catch up with people and reconnect with old friends. So there it is the readers digest update.
Ahhhh back to beautiful Italia; THIS definitely feels like home to me!

Me and Mel - she is a sweetie Another day at sea…. This morning I ran into Mel (Dyke is her last name) and we chatted over breakfast, lovely lady I met at dinner the other night from Yorkshire England. She loaned me a book to read about the lecturers on this cruise (that she wrote) and I am attending the lecture on Nefertiti today and she is travelling with the lecturers. At 10:30am I am heading to the trivial quiz to see if I have any wit at all :o) – okay quiz was lame, caught up with Mel again and we decided to have a glass of champagne um and the bar wasn’t open FAWK, so I went and fetched us some tea (almost the same), she and I had a great chat sitting in the champagne bar drinking tea, then it was time for lunch!!! - good company and she is a very interesting woman with an interesting life (in her 70’s). She and I met up again at the lecture on Nefertiti (she saved me a seat right up front) and I will meet her in the dining room for dinner as well. Why not? I quite like her...

Attended a seminar, the pool was CRAZY – so I stayed away. Had lunch with some folks from New Hampshire (she took a photo of me on the camel so I am going to send an email so that I have that photo as well). Walked about the ship; was going to watch the ice carving, I was mad on the pool deck so I came back to my room and actually watched a movie – then I shopped a bit, bought a watch and a bottle of liquor to take home, a bag (kind of like a purse), I went to the ice show at 5:00pm and then back to my room to change for dinner. Had dinner with some wonderful people, a couple from Portland (Lindsay & Dave), and fellow from Sydney (Brian I believe was his name). We chatted about travelling and couch surfing and places we had been and before I knew it over two hours had passed. Was back in the room by about 9:30pm, and by the time I washed up it was bed time.
